The show premiered in Rotterdam on 16 February 2022 and did a second run in The Netherlands from April-June 2023. Please contact us for touring possibilities. We are also open for requests concerning co-productions, licensing, educational programs and masterclasses.

Touring requirements:

Available for international touring 2024-2026.
One full day of load in / set up plus set up and rehearsals on first show day.
One performance per day.
Travelling with 3 performers, 4 technicians, 1 tour manager = 8 pax.

Technical Requirements:

We bring our own revolving stage.
Level floor required.
Proscenium 6m high and 12m wide.
Minimum stage size: 15m wide x 12m deep.
Flying lines: min 21 sets, min 16m wide.
If your theatre has other dimensions, please let us know.

Trailer Unseen Dutch tour

The poetic love drama Unseen is the newest performance by the Jakop Ahlbom Company. In the unique, visual style of Lebensraum, Horror, and Knock-Out.

An unhappy woman who feels lonely and unseen. A husband who can’t shake off the past. A quiet burglar who spends the night in empty houses. The burglar’s arrival puts even more pressure on the couple’s strained relationship. It makes them realise what is truly valuable.

Unseen is partly inspired by the Korean film Bin Jip by Kim Ki-Duk. It reveals Ahlbom’s passion for elusive and surreal worlds. This performance is physical, poetic and full of humor, just like Lebensraum.

About our company

Jakop Ahlbom Company developed a trademark theatrical form that unites theatre, mime, dance, music and the world of illusion. The company has an unique talent for combining powerful visual language with equally powerful content. Based in Amsterdam but we share our stories all over the world.

Jakop Ahlbom (1971) was born in Sweden. In the early 1990s he moved to the Netherlands where he studied Mime at the Amsterdam School of the Arts. Upon his graduation in 1998 he was presented with the Top Naeff Award for the most promising student. His gift for choreography had been noticed – and so had his poeticism and his ability to get his cast to unleash their energy, bravado and physicality. The award jury described him as an eager, outstanding and exuberant talent. After graduating he worked with a variety of theatre makers as a performer, choreographer and director.
